National Novel Writing Month
On October 11, 2015 | 0 Comments

Hi all!

It’s that time again! Can’t you just smell the literary abandon floating on the breeze? Maybe that’s just the scent of too many pumpkin spice lattes. Anyway…

Welcome to NaNo 2015! This year is going to be great! We have so many ways for you to get your write on. Visit the regional forum for all the happenings!

First off, let me introduce my new co-ML Rae. You can almost always find her in the regional chat room, when she’s not writing or reading. This is her third year, so she probably knows the answers to your questions! (After 9 years MLing, I still don’t have all the answers, though)

Second, feel free to RSVP to the kickoff party. If you want to meet your fellow Wrimos before the writing begins, join us October 24 at the St. Louis County Library Headquarters from 2-4 pm. We’ll have a raffle (which you can donate to–all proceeds go directly back to NaNo) and icebreakers and you’ll get your nifty NaNo sticker!

Thirdly, if you’re not sure about this NaNo thing and you want to know more, check out our four Pre-NaNo workshops, held the last two weeks of October. These feature Q&A, writing exercises, and tips and tricks on how to get to 50k in a month without going batty.

As we get closer to November, be on the lookout for info on the midnight kickoff and the many write-ins we already have scheduled.

Looking forward to exploring the NaNoWriMo Library with you this year!

Your MLs,
Jen and Rae

PS: If you haven’t donated already, please consider it, because warm fuzzies and happy servers.
